Household profile
Hearth is a shared household workspace. Personal display-name editing can be added once profile fields are stored behind the same household authorization boundary.
Account protection
Login & security
Review how you sign in and protect access to household finances.
Password
Use a unique password that you do not reuse on another account.
Managed by Neon AuthTwo-factor authentication
Add a second sign-in step when the auth provider exposes MFA enrollment.
Not configuredThis device
Your active browser session uses a secure, HttpOnly authentication cookie.
Financial data
Linked accounts
Review, sync, or remove the institutions connected to Hearth.
Removing a connection also deletes its imported accounts, balances, transactions, and sync records from Hearth.
Transaction organization
Categories
Define the labels used to understand household spending.
Custom category changes will require a database-backed preferences endpoint before they can persist across devices.
Automation
Transaction rules
Automatically rename or categorize transactions that match your conditions.
No custom rules yet
Rules can turn recurring merchant descriptions into clean names and consistent categories.
Rule creation will be enabled with server-side storage and application during transaction import.
Built for trust
Security center
The controls that keep your household’s financial life private.
Database-enforced privacy
Vercel serves static files only. Neon validates the signed Auth token and PostgreSQL row-level security scopes every record to this household.
No database password or privileged API key is shipped to VercelEncrypted provider access
Plaid token exchange, verified webhooks, and transaction sync run beside the database in a Neon Function.
Long-lived Plaid access tokens are AES-GCM encrypted before storageHousehold access
Neon Auth manages password sessions, while the database allowlist admits only the configured household identities.
Two household identities are allow-listed in PostgreSQLRecovery
Neon restore controls are the primary recovery layer. Portable exports are encrypted locally with a passphrase before download.
A browser can display and therefore expose data to the signed-in person. Use strong unique passwords, enable MFA when available, keep Vercel free of database credentials, and review Neon’s Data API advisor before adding real financial data.
